If you really want to
know what happens behind the scene (when you’re not around) in your home, then
look for Piper (Piper Classic All-In-One Security with Video Monitoring Camera).
This is the story that made me look for this Video Monitoring Camera early this year:
A man bought this
Classic Camera and hid it in his bedroom, after he received a series of reports
from friends that his wife was cheating on him. But due to his tight schedules,
he wasn’t actually making good use of it. One certain afternoon, he suddenly remembered
Piper and decided to peep what was going on at home through his android tablet,
and saw the ugliest thing his eyes could not contain-he saw a neighbor making
love to his wife in his bedroom. He
quickly dropped every other thing he was doing, got down to the Car park,
boarded his vehicle and drove home in a haste. On getting home, he couldn’t
find the neighbor, but met his dubious spouse in some grin of fake delight.
“Welcome home,
Daddy”, she greeted.
“Please don’t let me
get upset now” The man spoke angrily. “Who was the person that just left this
house a few minutes from now?”
“Nobody” she replied.
“Yeah, nobody but
you’d just cheated on me”, he said.
The man brought his
Android tablet and gave her the greatest shock of her life.
Look at the Brief Description of Piper Classic All in One Security System Video monitoring Camera.
Piper is the first
all-in-one home security and home automation device. It combines an HD camera,
panoramic video, Z-Wave home automation and environmental sensors into a
single, elegant product that you interact with on your Android/iOS device.
Piper transcends traditional security with no monthly contracts or fees, and
there is no installation required; it is ready out of the box. One of Piper's
main features includes fully customizable security through its wide-angle
camera that lets you watch over what matters most. Set up rules for what Piper
does when you're at home, away or on vacation -- "If motion is detected
while I'm on vacation, sound the siren, record a video, and send me a text
message."-- and know immediately what's going on. Piper also features
alerts so you can get notified when things happen at home with a phone call,
text message, or email and watch a video of what got Piper's attention. Within
the camera view, watch live video and talk directly to the occupants in the
room. Piper is ideal for communicating with kids after school, pets while at
work, house sitters while away and for checking in on elderly parents or
grandparents. Lastly, Piper features smart hardware and comes equipped with a
motion detector, microphone, piercing siren, and battery backup for constant
protection. Its built-in Z-Wave controller enables you to control, automate and
schedule lights and small appliances, so your home can manage itself.

What are the happy buyers saying about Piper Classic video monitoring Cameras?
Piper Classic

I researched consumer
recommendations for home security options & found good ratings for the
Piper products. From there, I bought a standard camera from the company &
set it up. The Instructions that came with it were pretty good and was able to
get it operational without the use of a u-tube tutorial. However, on
retrospect, I would recommend viewing the tutorial beforehand. Piper staff was
more than responsive to my inquiries & provided great support. So far, the
software & equipment are operating seamlessly. I do wonder how it operates
when visiting a foreign country.

Piper is worth every
dollar I spent on it. I own twelve pipers. I have three pipers and one infrared
Piper in each of my three homes; one house in Florida and two in Massachusetts
and can monitor them from anywhere. I would advise everyone to read the
information and see all the different options that you can set the pipers for.
I am totally pleased with their performance and their technical support. My
only criticism would be that they don't yet support a z-wave keypad that would
make it more family friendly. Children or other authorized people need a way to
disarm the Piper security if you can't be reached. If Piper did support a
z-wave keypad it would be definitely be five stars. Thanks. I have had systems
for over a year.

This review is from:
Piper classic All-in-One Security System with Video Monitoring Camera, Black
(Tools & Home Improvement)
This is a well-designed unit
and IOS App. I have high hopes for this unit. I installed my second one today.
I like the four settings Off, Home, Away and Vacation that allows for different
rules. I just wish you could disable the camera in home mode.
Simple to Set Up - Great Video

First, this was
the easiest setup I could have imagined - I had my Piper up and running in less
than 10 minutes. It's a 3-set process to get your system ready and to connect
it to your home WIFI, and the device does most of the work for you. I expected
a laborious installation process, but was pleasantly surprised.
The one thing that really stands out when you use the Piper app is the quality of the live video. It's all very good. I can see and zoom in on on my entire living room and entryway. There is a two-way audio feature that you can use while you're viewing your video feed. I love the fact that I can pan and zoom the video to look at the entire room in detail.
I also added a few smart switches so I can control a few living room lights. The process to add the devices to my system was simple... Only took a couple of minutes. Best of all, scheduling my lights to turn on and off is so easy. There is a controls tab on the app that is so easy to use and understand that even I could figure out in seconds. There is also a rules tab to set up how you want to be notified if something happens. I found it simple to set up a notification when the motion sensor detects motion, but haven't yet set up other rules. Oh, you can also set the camera to capture a video clip when motion is detected.
The only thing that I don't find useful is the vitals tab. It gives you info about the temperature, sound, activity in your home over a 24 hour period. I'm sure others will find this helpful, but it's not that useful for me.

This is a great device that is simple to set up and use. And, there are a lot of features I have yet to use that look beneficial, so I'll find more value in it when I learn more.
